Kapiti Coast Airport is about to take off. With an ambitious and visionary plan, the new owners have embarked on an upgrade for the airport to accommodate commercial flights along with a stunning new business park set to become the hub of the Kapiti coast.

Space is at a premium in Wellington. Surrounded by hills, volatile ingress and egress points and with severely limited flat area suitable for development, large organisations are looking for alternatives. And the Kapiti Coast is shaping up as a very attractive option.

Kapiti Coast Airport Limited have embarked on a $5m upgrade and Air New Zealand are now running regular flights in and out of the new Terminal 1. The design and consent process for the new Transmission Gully and Western Link motorway is well underway which will cut the travel time between Wellington and Paraparaumu from a grinding 45 mins (on a good day) to around 25-30 mins of easy motorway travel. And if that’s not enough, the regular Metlink train service, which runs 7 days a week, is also being upgraded. Kapiti’s never been so close.

The jewel in the crown will undoubtedly be Kapiti Landing, an environmentally and aesthetically pleasing business park featuring an expansive mix of commercial and retail space. It’s proximity to air, rail and road transport, combined with over 125 hectares of flat land and a greater resident catchment of over 100,000 people, make it a hugely attractive proposition for business.

Fuse have worked with the Kapiti Landing Board of Directors to develop sympathetic identities for both the airport and the business park, along with a range of marketing resources to promote the project to both locals and prospective tenants alike. Printed brochures, an informative website and tailored presentations have provided the Board and their agents with the tools to attract the right mix of tenancies and considerable local support and enthusiasm.
